Even though the effectiveness of the
SpineCor brace is accepted world wide, we understand the
necessity of collecting data from journals, doctors and
independent treatment centers to support the efficiency of the
Dynamic SpineCor brace.
For this reason Scoliosis Specialists have
created this website, collecting results from independent SpineCor centers around
the world, Clinical Journals and Published Journals; in order
to reinforce those obtained at Sainte-Justine Hospital, upon
which the effectiveness of the SpineCor brace is based. To get

The shape of the torso in patients
with idiopathic scoliosis is considered to reflect
the shape of the vertebral column, however the
direct correlation between parameters describing
clinical deformity and those characterizing
radiological curvature was reported to be weak. It
is not clear if the management proposed for
scoliosis (physiotherapy, brace, surgery) affects
equally the shape of the axial skeleton and the
surface of the body. The aim of the study was to
compare clinical deformity of idiopathic
scoliosis girls being under brace treatment for
radiological curves of 25 to 40 degrees and non
treated scoliotic girls matched for age and Cobb
angle.
›› Survival analysis of a group of 365
idiopathic scoliosis patients treated with the
Dynamic SpineCor Brace
Idiopathic scoliosis is a chronic
illness with several different braces used for its
treatment.Brace treatment during
childhood/adolescence can produce stress. There
are studies supporting that it can decrease
body-image perception while other studies support
that it has no such effect. The purpose of this
study was to explore the experience of brace
treatment in children/adolescents with scoliosis.
The aim was to investigate which feelings are
created by the bracing experience in
children/adolescents with scoliosis and what are
the children/adolescents' with scoliosis opinions
of the support provided to them by health-care
professionals and by their
families.

studies: SRS Committee on Bracing and Nonoperative

›› Evaluation of
segmental postural characteristics during quiet
standing in control and Idiopathic Scoliosis
patients
The complex skeletal deformations
that accompany Idioapthic Scoliosis pose a
challenge to the clinician to noninvasively
discriminate Idiopathic Scoliosis patients from
children with no pathology. Therefore, the focus
of this study is to non-invasively evaluate the
position and amplitude of displacement of the
pelvis, shoulders and thorax during quiet standing
of Idiopathic Scoliosis patients and control
subjects.

Post-Treatment Results.
The objective of this study was to
quantify the relationship between gibbosity and
spinal deformation expressed by the angle of Cobb
before and during treatment with a brace for
different classes of idiopathic scoliosis
patients.
